Q : So, who sees the true Light? The pure at heart, I would say. Of course we all think we belong to this category. Or don't we ? A.
A: Charisma e magnetism
The light of conscience is a field of intellective potentiality that is perceived through an empathic contact; if the latter is originated only by the heart, it can be deceitful.
Empathy (*) is a faculty that should be developed harmoniously between heart (feeling), mind (knowledge) and conscience (consciousness). It is therefore an advanced intellectual faculty, even initiatory, I dare say.
(* )Empathy – psychic process consisting of the direct absorption of the emotional and intellective status of another person.
Common people incapable of deep consciousness feel charisma as attraction, called magnetism. Unfortunately they can't distinguish between different charismas. History tells us so. Most people undergo the effects of positive as well as negative charisma. They continuously swing between choosing ‘Jesus' or ‘Barabbas'.
Those who develop a negative charisma are the ‘wolves disguised as lambs'; they are the ‘bad fellowships' that crowd the world, viz. Malkuth, the earthly Temple of the Humankind. The disguises work because the men who trust ‘impressions' become an unaware target of fake communication mechanisms. Therefore they are deceived and dragged into the Maze of illusions.
I think that before starting any kind of ‘work' we should know the mechanisms that generate illusion as well as those used by the Pied Pipers.
To perceive inner potentialities means to recognize the charisma of an advanced personality; I don't think this depends on the purity of the heart, which is a moral concept. In other words, I'd say that the recognition is the result of the activation of the links called ‘bridges' by some hermeticists and ‘royal arches' by others.
Making the ‘Light'
There is a lot of talk about alchemic processes, Ars regia, Ars pontificia; the talk is only theoretical, though. ‘In practice, nobody practices'. Otherwise the results would be ‘glaringly obvious' and we would see ‘suns and gold' shining.
Few people accept to challenge themselves by trying to make light in the most suitable ways, instead of just ‘talking about it'. Most people fall in the trap of listening to the profane inside them.
The first work of sterilization (resolve) is to get rid of the profane inside us that hides and masks but it is always there giving orders. This has been happening and it will happen for a long time. Instruments can be acquired, methods can be learnt; unmasking it is the access to real initiation.
