The characteristics of the Logoi in the Menorah
In the Archaic and sacerdotal Traditions, the Children of Light are identified with Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, Venus, the Sun and the Moon.
Pythagoras taught his Disciples that:
«The Forces are spiritual Entities, Gods that rule the sidereal sky, independently from how the Planets and the Matter are known and intended on Earth...»;
Furthermore it is said that every human Race is born under the influence of one of these Planets.
The characteristics of the Logoi are the lowest interpretations of these mysteries, both in the East and in the West, because it is closer to a common human view that sees it as an anthropomorphic form.
It is an old habit of the profane man to try and bring the sky down towards himself, rather than trying to rise towards it.
Hebrew mysticism has also given the Logoi proper names and human characteristics.

and the Clothesless, viz. with no human characteristics, ‘Ain Soph Aur’, mentioned in an Ancient Commentary ‘whose Word of Life is manifested in Jehovah’, Vod-Eva, the celestial Androgyne.
The Planet Saturn hides the face of Jehovah.
Saturn – Light at the center of the Menorah is directly placed on the vertical line of the three worlds expressed by the bases of the Luminary, viz. Spiritual, Animic and Physical. Therefore it is the hierarchically most influential Logos in the Holy Alliance that links up the Initiate Osarsif once he became Moses, the saved from the water (by the Baptism) after leaving his Hierophant and father-in-law, the black man Jethro, Great Priest of the Temple of Osiris in High Egypt, to transmit in a new Nation the Faith in a Unique God to correct, later, by inseminating them – therefore giving up its physical identity – the other Peoples of the Earth (through the Diaspora in the Earth of the People of God, never understood but failed because of the selfishness of the governors,) from the mistake of polytheism, even more heretical because covered in human Forms.
Moses was ordered in the Pact:
‘I am…..the Lord Your God.’
The unutterable Name was hidden to the Hebrew people in the exoteric name of Adonai and in the male-female attribute of Jehovah and in Lord or God for everybody else, which, however, never had or knew that name.
The unutterable Name and Its earthly Genesis lie re-veiled (veiled twice) in the numbers (12) and (42 and 77) where the Therapeutae, which were the hierarchically highest level of the traditionally most esoteric Caste, placed them; it is the Caste of the Essenes, where the most qualified Guides of our peoples come from.
‘You shall have no other gods before me.’
After the folly and heresy of the Children of Man that we visited in the Book 4, it was chosen to re-affirm the Principle One.
God manifests himself in the Two through the Three. He is One and Trine, in the Father that emanates, in the mother that receives and holds and in the Motion that manifests its Form, which is his Son.
‘You will not worship idols.’
This has become a Rule for all the Jewish and Islamic Brothers that descend from the faith in the God of Abraham, but it has been clamorously disregarded by the catholic Brothers.
These are some of the reasons why it is said that Saturn hides the face of Jehovah, the God of Hebrews.
Whenever Saturn is placed at the center of the Initiatory System, It rules the Aspect of mental activity. When this aspect is developed through those ‘tests’ that force man’s mind to an increase of tension, it becomes the Aspect of Intelligent Activity.
Its esoteric color is green.
Green is the color of the sashes of the Master Masons belonging to those Families connected to the Hebrew ritual orthodoxy.
Saturn is also known as the Planet of tests. Therefore if any researcher connected, by analogy, the tests and journeys that Saturn and Moses imposed the Ben-Israel followers to achieve the recognition of themselves (the know thyself of v.i.t.r.i.o.l.) as a People first and a Nation later, lasted 40 years (4+0=4 the number of Form and Personality) and the journeys and tests to be carried out, symbolically, in the Mason Temple in order to achieve the recognition of oneself as a brick of the Temple of Salomon, viz. the inner recognition of the Mason for being one thing with the Universal Order, then this researcher would have grasped the core of this issue.
Those that wish to dig in this direction for their own personal work will acquire a widespread vision of the method through which the White Hierarchy transmits the lesser systems of initiation in the Universal Tradition, in the various traditions of orders and churches that appear to be separated.
Both Eastern and Western cosmogonies pay their respect to the Spirits that animate these Great Seven Planetary Lives and keep in the highest consideration the characteristics through which They manifest themselves. The only difference that we will find in their rituals and ceremonials through the eras is the focus of the attention of the various mystic-exoteric thoughts towards the characteristics of the Planet that more expressed the qualities that they wanted to achieve. An example of cosmogonies that are close yet different can be the Hebrew and the Greek.
The Hebrew cosmogony revolves its interpretation of the System around Saturn, the Planet of the tests, marking its painful Path through them. On the contrary, the Greek cosmogony placed at the center of its destiny Jupiter, the Planet of Ritual Magic. In it arose the cult of the Mysteries (Dionysian, Apollonian, Delphic, Eleusinian, Orphic are only the main ones) and of the sacred ritual sciences connected to them.
The Schools of the Mysteries and knowledge developed up to the point of being publicly represented and under the eyes of the Novices, with the initiatory psychodramas of the Temple. These representations were full of esoteric symbolism; they gave life to the Greek dramatic Theatre, where the symbolic tragedies are still represented and of which Shakespeare was the last Master in the West. The compendium of the whole Greek cosmogony and of the sacred ritual sciences (the Seven Masonic Liberal Arts) was used as a whole in the culture of the Roman Empire.
In the new-born Catholic cosmogony the ritual Mystery of the Seven Archangels that sit in front of the Throne of God has been kept, like for the Menorah. But the Sign of the Son is placed at the center of the Seven, symbol of salvation and redemption through the Dogma of forgiveness. The traditional Candelabrum with seven or nine arms is recognizable in any church, even if they have been trying to hide its shape by changing the angle of the candles.
The Son of God is the Sun and with it the loop of the Mysteries is closed, joining the Mysteries of Osiris that started them among the western Peoples.

On the other hand I would like to remind you that the ritual clothing of the catholic priest called ‘Planet’ shows the same colors, with the same chromatic values that we can find in the Universal Tradition, which we will deal with further on.
The same colors and with the same meanings are worn with the Planet by the catholic Officiant in religious Ceremonials; they correspond to the time of the year when the Rite is connected to the presence of the corresponding Planet in the sky.
I would like to invite you to verify what I am saying personally; you will then realize that despite the alleged originality, this Ceremonial Mystery is also a ‘Child’ of the Unique Tradition, exactly like all the others.
The name of a person doesn’t have much to do with the essence of the person itself, but for the sake of correctness of information, the Brothers must know the seven Mysterious Names that the western church use, at present, in its rituals of evocation or invocation for those Planetary Spirits that it calls primary principles.

These Names are enunciated in the Old Testament.
The motion of the seven-fold synergies of the sacred luminaries of the western church, which we find identical in the old Sacred Geometry, are shown in the next two drawings by the Bishop Leadbeater, in the book ‘The Science of Sacraments’.
Saturn before the accomplishment of the tests symbolizes the Work in Black; on the contrary Truth is the color White in the Masonic Work. The exoteric symbol of this Planet is a sickle, whilst the esoteric symbol is the motion≈.
It supervises emotional faculties.
Sun – the Tradition says that inside it Volcano is hidden (in the three-fold energetic entity: atomic, nuclear and gaseous).
Greek mythology tells us that the god lived inside a volcano and in it he forged the weapons of the other gods that lived on the top of the mount Olympus. In the latter we can recognize the same symbology that we find in the Masonic Starry Vault. Volcano, that represents the spiritual energy of the Sun, is in actual fact that who supplies, with its irradiation, the vitality that subjectively qualifies all the Lives of our System.
As we will see later on, when we will visit the Starry Vault of the Masonic Temple, the Sun is the only one to be able to communicate, thanks to energetic relations (the Bridges) with entities beyond the boundaries of the insuperable ring of Its system. This will lead us to discover how the Sacred Geometry of the Temple is nothing but the specular manifestation of the manifestation of the Geometry of the Stars, whose interaction on the three worlds, Spiritual, Mental and Physical has produced during the eras the science called Esoteric Astrology, which has nothing to do with the Astrology in use among profane people.
The color is that of the Flame; the Sun supervises the faculty of control, Will Aspect. Its symbol is the dot. It is the first manifestation of the Will of the Great Architect.
Moon – Sign of reflection, says the Tradition; it hides a lost Planet of which the Earth was a satellite. Therefore the Earth is in actual fact its satellite. I write this unverifiable information for the record, also because either it is true or not, it wouldn’t change the substance of relations that the Earth has with it at present.
The Moon, dead Planet, as the ancient Eastern Commentaries say, has had a decisive role in the formation of the primitive physical Forms of the Planet Earth through Energetic Elements called Lunar Pitris.
It still has both positive and negative effects on the physical and instinctive elements of our Planet. Just think of tides, women’s cycle, influences in nature and the animal instinct of man, so much so that it suggests the myth of the wolf-man, the lycanthrope, and vampires. Myths and legends of real fears of men, in relation with phenomena that they couldn’t understand before, yet influenced by the Moon.
By supervising the instincts and impulses of Forms, this satellite (?) shows that it possesses two antagonistic energies. The white Moon of the Plenilune is considered relatively positive, although within the limits of positivity where a higher form of astralismcan be considered. It is used in connections with more advanced Personalities.
On the contrary, Lilith the first woman of Creation, who chose as her earthly husband not Adam but Satan, is the Black Moon.
It is considered to have ill-omened influence on men and things and it brings chaos and temptation, freeing the forces of the lowest and undesired instinct kept in the subconscious, by stirring them. It is used in connections with deviated Personalities towards sexual magic, up to those that started the Path of the Left Hand.
The exoteric color of the Moon is Silver, whilst the esoteric color is Purple. The exoteric symbol is a white half moon with a Pentalpha, the esoteric one a circumference cut in two by a vertical line.
Mars –School of the Warriors with red clothes; it supervises those who start their initiatory journey on the Path of the Sword.
It supervises the Force or Power Aspect that hides the yet unexpressed Will Aspect of the Great Architect. The Master Masons have recognized this Aspect, but other Masons have forgotten it. Its trace is clear in Their ordinary and extraordinary Ceremonials, when they place this symbol in the left hand of their Adepts and in the right hand of their warriors, the Guards. The sword with the tip pointing to the floor means deference; if the tip is directed to the sky it means glory. Holding the sword by the tip makes the sign of the Cardinal Cross, symbol of the Cosmic Christ.
The W. M., the Outer and the Inner Guards of the M L, during the initiation of a Brother, form on his head, using their swords, a triangle of Power, Wisdom and Beauty in order to influence by irradiation His emotional body.
The exoteric color of this Planet is Red, the esoteric one is Pink.
Mercury – In mythology it is considered the Messenger of the Gods. This doesn’t clash with the Tradition that indicates it as the Planet that supervises the superior intellectual faculties. With the winged feet it symbolizes the immediateness of the communications that come from the Source of Super-mundane Knowledge through intuition. Intuition is the virtue of the Intellect when it is aligned in the Bridge that connects it to the Triad. This is the meaning of the color yellow that represents Mercury, in the auras of the mystics or of the Guides of the humankind shown in the paintings by artists of all times. Indeed, those paintings show the effect of the mind of the man touched by the Virtue (the Intuition of the Truth) of the Holy Spirit (Knowledge of one’s own Triad or of the Monad).
This shows the passive stage of the receiver. But if we wanted to reach the active and dynamic stage of the researcher symbolized in Mercury’s headgear, winged as well, we should understand the occult use of the Caduceus of Hermes that he holds in his right active hand, for the activation and control of the seven energetic centers that constitute the occult Vitality of man.
The esoteric symbol of this Planet is a Rainbow Bridge.
Through Him in the reawakened conscience and in the Seven Occult Centers of the Initiate (the Seven Secret Masters) the qualities of all the seven Great Lives that make our Solar System converge. And Man appears as Hiram, spirit in the likeness of the Great Architect which is His Creator.
This is the Initiation to the Greater Mysteries.
Genesis 9
11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations;
13 I do set my bow in the cloud and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud;
15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
17And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.
In the three-fold manifestation of Man-Triad-Monad: the Mother is the physical Form of which we are children, become widow after losing the relation with the Father, the Spirit. The Son is the Triad, also indicated with the terms first occult Master or Superior Unknown, and not well understood by profane people. The Father is the Monad or Spirit of man, because it is an integral part of the Body of manifestation of the Great Architect himself.
The Hebrew esoteric culture indicates this triplicity that must be re-united in the One like the prodigal Son Nephesh (the breath of the Personality of man and his attributes), who, forgetting himself, wanders in the World of Chaos. Ruˆach, the Son at the Home of the Father (the Triad and Its attributes). Finally Neshaˆmaˆh, the Monad-Father, which must not be confused with the Creator or Great Architect.
Jupiter – Its exoteric color is the same as the Sun, Blue. This is also one of the many mysteries spread on our journey, for the simple reason that they can be only transmitted via mouth-ear and we cannot now break this rule.
Jupiter is called the Planet of Ritual Magic because it supervises the Sacerdotal (Initiatory) Mysteries and the Sacred Arts connected with them. For us, perennial Apprentices, it will be easier to say that it supervises the metaphysical side of knowledge, invisible to profane eyes. At the moment it is the Planet, after the Sun, of which we can say less and that holds the highest and most qualified Power of influence of the Solar System. We could call it, more appropriately, the ‘sun of Initiates’. At the moment Its exoteric symbol is the Pastoral Staff (see Rose&Cross), whilst the occult symbol is a circumference. I hope that I made clear what I tried to transmit.
It supervises affinities (1 chemical, 2 magnetic and 3 sonorous [!]). It holds the Law of Attraction-Rejection.
Venus – hides Lucifer the Archangel Bearer of the Divine Light, bringer of the concrete mind in the primordial Form of man. Moses describes with these words, in the Genesis in the Old Testament, this act of sacrifice and pain.
Genesis 6
1 And it came to pass, when men (the mindless, Note of the Author) began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters (the physical Forms, Note of the Author) were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God (the Angels, Note of the Author) saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh; yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years (1+2+0= the 3 years of the initiate).
4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown (the Nephilim, so called because endowed with the gift of the intellect).
Venus supervises the emotional mind, passive and feminine. This mind is sensitive to lower impulses but also to the higher ones, when it becomes aware of them. It also supervises the impulse of cohesion. Indeed, in the most advanced stage, triangulated with Mercury (the Intellect) and the Sun (the Will), it is symbolized by the Scales and it leads man towards the Law of Balance through discrimination and discernment. The complex development of the three Energies, Sun, Mercury and Venus, are represented in the western symbolism by the triangle of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The exoteric color of Venus is Azure (color that we find today in the sashes of the Master Masons), whilst the esoteric color of this Planet is Indigo.
The most diligent Brothers will know, by now, that it is not enough to assimilate a lot of information gathered quickly. I will leave to the will and intelligence of the individual to fill in what I have stated with personal research and development of analogies.
To develop in oneself the ability to expand the concepts in one’s own thoughts through the use of analogy means to be already able to use the Ars Pontificia in the concrete mental plane.
